These terms apply to this website and to any work commissioned from Orcanix, Chatha Bakhtawar, Islamabad, Pakistan. Where a signed proposal or contract says something different, that document wins. Last updated 17 August 2026.
Quotes and estimates
Prices shown on the pricing page, in the calculator and on service pages are starting figures for typical projects. They are an invitation to talk, not a binding offer. A quote becomes binding only when we have written down the scope - pages, features, integrations, deliverables - and both sides have agreed to it in writing.
A written quote stands for 30 days. After that we may re-price it, usually because third-party costs have moved.
Requests and payment
Nothing is charged on this website. The request buttons record which package you are interested in and send us your details - they take no card and complete no transaction. Prices shown are estimates until we confirm the scope in writing.
- Once the scope is agreed we invoice you directly. Amounts are in US dollars unless stated otherwise.
- Work begins after the first invoice is settled, not when the request is sent.
- Larger projects are billed in milestones set out in the proposal. Each milestone is due before the next stage starts.
- Bank charges, currency conversion and any taxes payable in your jurisdiction are yours.
- Invoices unpaid 14 days past due pause the project. We do not withhold work already paid for, but we stop producing new work until the account is current.
What we need from you
Most projects that slip do so for the same reason: the work is blocked waiting on the client. To avoid that, you agree to provide:
Content
Copy, images, logos and product data, in usable form.
Access
Hosting, domain and any third-party accounts we need.
A decision-maker
One named person who can give feedback and sign off.
Timely feedback
Within 5 working days at each review point.
Timelines run from the date we have everything on that list, not from the date of payment. If material is late, the schedule moves by at least the length of the delay. A project left without response for 30 days may be closed and re-quoted to restart.
You confirm that any content you give us is yours to use, and that it does not infringe anyone's rights. You indemnify us against claims arising from material you supplied.
Revisions and scope
Each proposal states how many rounds of revision are included. A revision is a refinement of work built to the agreed scope. A new page, a new feature, a change of direction after sign-off, or a redesign of something already approved is new work: we will quote it separately rather than quietly absorb it and let the deadline slip.
Who owns the work
- On final payment, ownership of the custom design and custom code written specifically for your project transfers to you. Full source, no lock-in.
- Before final payment, everything remains ours and is licensed to you only for review.
- We keep our own pre-existing tools, libraries, internal components and general know-how, and we may reuse them on other projects. Nothing in that reuse includes your content, your data or your brand.
- Third-party components - themes, plugins, fonts, SaaS - stay under their own licences, and any recurring fees for them are yours.
Portfolio and confidentiality
Unless you tell us otherwise in writing, we may show the finished work in our portfolio, on this site and in social posts. Tell us you would rather we did not and we will not - that request costs nothing and needs no reason.
Anything you share with us that is not public - business plans, data, credentials, unreleased products - stays confidential, both during the project and after it ends.
Support and warranty
Every project includes a post-launch support window stated in your plan - 30 days on smaller builds, 60 on larger ones. During that window we fix, free of charge, anything that does not work as the agreed scope said it would.
What the warranty does not cover:
- New features or changes of mind.
- Breakage caused by edits made by you or another developer.
- Failures of third-party services, plugins or hosting outside our control.
- Content changes after handover, unless you are on a maintenance plan.
Beyond that window, ongoing work is billed at our current rate or covered by a maintenance retainer.
Cancellation and refunds
- A request sent through this site commits you to nothing. It is an enquiry, not an order.
- Once work has started you may cancel at any time in writing.
- Payments for work already delivered or in progress are not refundable - the time has been spent.
- Milestones paid for but not yet started are refunded in full.
- On cancellation we hand over everything completed to that point, and ownership of it transfers on settlement of the final invoice.
- If we cancel - which we would only do for non-payment, an unworkable brief or unacceptable conduct - you get a pro-rata refund for work not delivered.
Limits of liability
We build carefully, test what we ship, and stand behind our work. We do not, however, accept unlimited exposure for a fixed fee.
- Our total liability for any claim is capped at the amount you have paid us for the project it concerns.
- We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss - lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, lost business opportunity.
- We are not liable for outages, breaches or data loss originating in third-party services, nor for changes those services make to their own platforms.
- Keeping backups after handover is your responsibility unless you are on a maintenance plan that covers it.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for fraud.
Using this site
You may not attempt to break into, overload, scrape at scale, or probe this site for weaknesses without permission. The contact form and the package request form are for genuine enquiries; both are rate-limited and abuse is blocked. Content on this site - text, design, code, images - belongs to Orcanix unless credited otherwise.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version in force for your project is the one published on the day your order was placed, so a later change never rewrites a deal already struck.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, and the courts of Islamabad have jurisdiction. Before anyone goes to court, both sides agree to spend 30 days genuinely trying to resolve the matter directly - most disputes are a misunderstanding about scope, and a direct conversation settles them.
